Monday's Daily Art/Challenges

Step Outside Your Box Saturdays--Photo Transfers (http://stepoutsideyourboxsaturdays.wordpress.com/)
The first photo transfer I did with gel medium. Came out beautifully! Background is done with oil pastels.

The skinny page transfer was inspired by Claudine Hellmuth's Ranger Paint Dabber transfer technique, MINUS the Ranger Paint Dabber. I used regular ol' acrylic craft paint. It did not come out beautifully, but I do like how it turned out. I don't know if I used too much or too little paint, but I do know I didn't wait long enough for it to dry. As you can see, a big blob of her arm is missing and part of her dress on the left side, but I like the aged, worn out look of it. Text papers were aged with Antique Linen and Walnut stain Distress Ink and I smeared on some metallic pigment ink over that.
